Hi. My name is Bubba Stallcup. My mother-in-law is Sharon Stone. This is her website.
I am the person responsible for this site’s creation, and because of that I can post things on here pretty much whenever I want. usually I wouldn’t abuse such a privilege (seeing as how I know virtually nothing about yarn), but today I have made an exception.
Today, as we all know, is Mother’s Day. Mom isn’t a big fan of Mother’s Day… and I’m not 100% sure why. But, I like it
So, this post has nothing to do with yarn, but is a thank you to my mother-in-law for all the things that she has done for me and my wife (her daughter) over the years.
Here is just a short list of her crowning achievements just within Anna’s and my life. Mom actually would put it like this: “Do you want the whole list, or just the top 10?!” These are the latter… though there may be more or less than 10
- She has always been there to offer spiritual guidance whenever it was needed.
- She was able to make our wedding day the happiest day of our lives.
- She has the ability to be a mother to anyone! Regardless of if they have a mother of their own, or are a mother already. Once you’ve been taken under the wing, it’s a hard place to leave.
- She once made me a ski hat. Doesn’t sound like much, but the hat was amazing!
- She also named a color of yarn after me, “Bubba Green”. It may or may not be the official name, but when I mention Bubba green, she knows what I’m talking about.
- She cooked for me, and loved me while I was a lonely bachelor for a year.
- She let’s me get away with things that her own kids can’t
- She taught Anna how to make bread (one of the single greatest achievements of her parenting)
- She knew before anyone else, really, that Anna and I were going to be together and did alot to kindle the flames of our love.
- And, last but not least…. She laughed the whole time I was squirming in the back seat when I asked for Anna’s hand in marriage. Laughed in a good way, not like she laughed at me… I don’t think…
Anyways, this is our gift to you mom. We just wanted everyone who reads this to know how great you are, not just how great WE think you are… but we think you’re pretty great, too
Love ya’ tons,
The Stonecups -Bubba and Anna Stallcup
