The prize is inspiration, and everyone wins.
In the belief that we are all more creative when we urge one another on, we issue you a challenge:
Use vinyl and swatches to create something sensational this month.
Vinyl could be the clear plastic you can get from most fabric chain stores, an old rain slicker, a record, or vinyl packaging.
Swatches could be small samples of fabric, test swatches from knitting, scraps of yarn or paper.
Use these resources in any combination: Cut, sew, knit, embroider, glue, weave, or whatever else you can dream up. Whether your result is simple or complex, wearable, sculptural, readable, or even usable, send your digital photos to lydia.lark@yahoo.com with “August Fiber Arts Challenge” in the title by September 1, 2009, and Three Stitchers will post the results together! Multiple entries are acceptable.
Consider the gauntlet thrown.
