Necklace: Cut, sewn, and wrapped; Record vinyl, fabric swatches, silk fabric, vintage rings, beads, yarn, lemon quartz. Lydia K.

So far the August vinyl & swatch projects look fantastic, I am just waiting for someone *coughSharon* to send in her pictures!

The creative challenges will alternate on a monthly basis between being supply-related and theme-related. This month’s theme is Maps.

Oh, the many kinds of map!

• Road maps,
• Topographical maps,
• Flight and nautical charts,
• Anatomical maps,
• Imaginary maps,
• Maps to scale, and
• Maps based on perception

just to name a few.

Use fiber to complete the project of your choice whether based on a real map, the idea of a map, the patterns of a map, or dream up your own map for this month’s challenge.
